A key aspect of the program’s learning journey is the group project. Participants will be assigned to small groups to solve a business problem by applying concepts and tools learned in the online, live online, and in-person sessions.
The project can be a real-world problem that one person in the group is facing in their organization, or it can also be a new business idea that a group member is developing. This project will enable participants to effectively tackle real-world business problems by applying the tools, frameworks, and lessons learned in the program.

This six-month program features two in-person modules and two online modules. The in-person modules give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic city of New York and engage with peers and experts. The online modules enable you to conveniently learn at your own pace through a combination of video lectures, discussions, and assignments.

Columbia Business School Executive Education’s Global Banking Program is a multimodal Ivy League learning journey that aims to provide participants with an understanding of the economic and technological forces driving this change and to learn how to harness them in a responsible way. Participants receive select alumni benefits from Columbia Business School upon completion of the program.
Participants in the Global Banking Program might come from large or medium-sized banking and financial services companies or fintech startups. The program will help talented leaders prepare to take on larger, critical roles within the banking and financial industries.
The program has a total of four modules—two online and two on campus in New York City, as well as two online project check-ins.
Upon completion of the Global Banking Program, participants will be awarded the Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School Executive Education. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion for attending the Global Banking Program.
Applications to the Global Banking Program can be made online and should include an updated resume/LinkedIn profile as well as professional references. The application fees vary by rounds. Applying earlier helps your chances of being accepted into the program.
Emeritus collects all program payments, provides learner enrollment and program support, and manages learning platform services.

Program fees for Emeritus programs with Columbia Business School Executive Education may not be paid for with Title IV financial aid funds. Participants may be able to pay the program fee with funds from the GI Bill, the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Act of 2008, or similar types of military education funding benefits. Participants must contact the Columbia University’s Office of Military and Veterans Affairs to determine benefit eligibility.
