Comprehensive Curriculum

The Executive Program in Management offers a multimodal learning experience that imparts the essentials of high-level leadership in today’s dynamic business environment, including leading change, strategic intuition, and business analytics. Designed and led by Ivy League faculty, the comprehensive curriculum combines live online, online, and in-person sessions and exposes participants to a host of engaging online guest lectures with leading industry executives. The flexible format allows for peer-to-peer learning and experiential sessions that integrate real-world case studies and a group project.

Capstone Project

The capstone project is a key aspect of the program learning experience. As part of a small group, participants will apply their learnings from the online, live online, and on-campus sessions to solve a business problem.

The problem can be a real-world problem that a group member is facing in their organization or a new business idea that a group member is developing. This project will give you the opportunity to effectively tackle real-world organizational challenges using the tools, frameworks, and lessons learned in the program.

Certificate in Business Excellence

Upon completion of the Executive Program in Management, participants are awarded the Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School Executive Education. The certificate is a recognition of their achievement and the investment they and their organization have made in their education and development.

As a Certificate in Business Excellence holder, you will receive a 25 percent tuition benefit for full-price Executive Education in-person programs lasting three and four days and all full-price online programs. Exclusions apply **

Certificate holders will also be awarded select Columbia Business School Alumni benefits.

Your digitally verified certificate will be issued in your legal name and emailed to you, at no additional cost, upon completion of the program, including all modules of the program (online, in person, or live online, inter-module). Who Is It For?

The Executive Program in Management will help talented leaders prepare to take on larger and more critical roles. The program is ideal for you if you are:

  • A senior executive from a large or medium-sized organization preparing to take on a larger, more critical role

  • A general management leader seeking a deeper understanding of management, leadership, and strategy

  • A functional leader, including marketing, sales, finance, consulting, technology management, operations, or HR, aiming to advance into larger leadership roles

Eligibility criteria for the program include:

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience

  • International exposure (preferred)

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
