The capstone project is a key aspect of the program learning experience. As part of a small group, participants will apply their learnings from the online, live online, and on-campus sessions to solve a business problem.
The problem can be a real-world problem that a group member is facing in their organization or a new business idea that a group member is developing. This project will give you the opportunity to effectively tackle real-world organizational challenges using the tools, frameworks, and lessons learned in the program.

The Executive Program in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education is an immersive six-month multimodal Ivy League learning journey that is aimed at helping leaders scale new heights in their careers. Participants receive select Columbia Business School alumni benefits upon completion of the program.
The Executive Program in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education is aimed at leadership development and imparting general management skills to address the needs of senior executives. Participants come from diverse backgrounds and different countries with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
The Executive Program in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education features one in-class immersion module, two live online modules, and two multi-week online modules.
The Executive Program in Management from Columbia Business School Executive Education is structured around four key pillars — leadership and management, strategy and innovation, global business acumen, and digital strategies for business. Participants combine theory with practice by working on a group project to apply their learnings to real-world business challenges guided by a coach who is a Columbia Business School faculty member.
Applicants to the Executive Program in Management must submit an online application that includes essays based on their professional journey. The application fees vary by rounds, and applying earlier helps your chances of being accepted into the program.
Emeritus collects all program payments, provides learner enrollment and program support, and manages learning platform services.

Program fees for Emeritus programs with Columbia Business School Executive Education may not be paid for with Title IV financial aid funds. Participants may be able to pay the program fee with funds from the GI Bill, the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Act of 2008, or similar types of military education funding benefits. Participants must contact the Columbia University’s Office of Military and Veterans Affairs to determine benefit eligibility.
